i saw this and was like "if this is real im gonna cry"
We aren't playing real people on chess.com
You are always playing real players in live and play chess, unless specifically challenging bots.
Premium and normal members have the same matchmaking, there is no difference in live games.
Obviously B1zmark's post was ironic, but are you sure about the second part? I was certainly under the impression that it aims to pair premiums together if possible, before widening the pairing parameters if needed?
To my knowledge, being a premium member does not alter your pairings. The 3 criteria used for pairings, are:
- Your rating and selected rating range
- Abusiveness and bad sportsmanship
- Internet connection

Didn't Martin post a while back saying there was a setting that restricts you to premium members when challenginf?

I believe that is only for searching through open challenges. Not for automatic matchmaking.
as a sicilian player, i am offended
as a sicilian player, you are pilotoxomxd
as a Sicilian player, I *feel unnecessarily and harshly attacked by the comments made about such a grand and powerful opening, surpassed by none other than the holy Bongcloud, of which power and magnitude cannot be described nor comprehended by mere mortals, by a caliber the gods themselves struggle with to understand the gifts given to us.

I do remember hearing about this as well. But it’s not really that big of a deal
