weak 1300-1400 but strong 1200 players

I noticed that most 1300-1400 players play very poorly in blitz. I literally went on a winning streak cause most of them made horrible blunders and had no idea about openings. But 1200s play like 1600-1700 rated players. Just a thought

But you are a 1500 rated blitz player and you haven't played any 1200-1300 rated players for more than two weeks. What made you reminisce?
And if you are a 1500 rated player, how would you know how 1600-1700 rated players play?

Well i’m 1800 in rapid and i played against 1200s long time ago. They play really strong tbh. But 1300-1400 feels like i’m playing some 600 rated player on his friends account
I have observed this as well. I think it might have to do with the fact that you can choose intermediate and start out as an 1400?
