I mean you obviously misremembered when somebody accused me of having multiple accounts downvoting them when I said I don't do that. I only use 1 account on forums and use that 1 downvote. If your post is on -5 it's not all me and chess.com can see that.

If anything the people who accuse me of doing that are probably projecting and doing that to my posts, I notice some of my posts get instantly downvoted in a few seconds to -3.

I find it quite interesting how the average rating of people who agree with HangingPiecesChomper is considerably higher than those who disagree and call him a troll, It makes me wonder if it could possibly be because one side chomps on hanging pieces and the other doesn't

It's because his advice is actually useful for many players, just ask the people who listened! Unfortunately it seems that instead of trying the advice for themselves people ignore it and seem to resort to personal attacks for no reason. If people actually proved that chomping on hanging pieces is not a viable strategy, we wouldn't be trying to help others learn this strategy! Have you personally tried chomping on hanging pieces?

Come on guys, if you find him to be a troll yall are breaking the first rule of the internet, do not feed trolls; why not just block and move on? On the other hand I find it kinda entertaining he's living rent free in so many heads.

Yeah, I used to say that also until he vomits all over one of our serious threads which is his specialty. But of course you're right. I'm hoping Moderators finally get fed up but, as been pointed out, a lot of the garbage we get here now produces revenue for ChessDotCom so it's difficult to control. How else would you suggest we self moderate? Ignoring doesn't work because there are newbies who don't know and they're being hurt. I suppose I shouldn't care but it infuriates me, their hypocrisy and blatant spitting in our faces over it.

So yeah, attack us who are trying to keep the threads decent. Makes perfect sense. And if that's the 'internet rule' then I disagree with it. If we don't police our own, and if ChessDotCom won't hire enough Mods or doesn't care (I believe they DO care) then we are left with publicly identifying them whenever they stick their filthy heads onto our forums.

Just my opinion and no I won't continue the topic with anyone; I'm sick of them and the subject as are most of us here on forums. It's just that most others have been here longer and have already reached the point of disgust.

No there really isn't per se, but it [don't feed the trolls] was an internet "rule" / meme when it was in its infancy.

What is the point? To finally agree with something you are a well-known troll for? To start to do that in games? We all learned, or have been taught chess, and our opinion count as much as the higher rated ones @honchkrowabcd, because it is talking about something basic. If you only needed to take hanging pieces to be the best at chess, everybody would be the best at chess. We can't eat hanging pieces on every move, though we can try to improve our position on every move. So what is the point ?
