Wei Yi's Immortal Game

Hi , i was just wondering what the " Immortal " means in chess games and why it was titled the best game in the 21st century? I just saw the game , i'm not really conviced that Wei Yi played well , i felt that Lazaro's created his own weaknesses and was exploited by Wei Yi , especially when the g7 pawn was pushed.  Someone prove me wrong please :) I;m new here

Well it's associated with immortal game of Anderssen vs Kieseritzky, and chess of romantic era at all. If you look at beautiful games they usually include mistakes, sometimes of both sides. But it's still beautiful. You can rarely see many sacrifices, especially both not-100%-sound and winning at the same time, in modern chess.

I thought Wei Yi played brilliantly. The chessbomb computer had difficulty keeping up. If Lazaro was up against Keithbun, then white would probably won much more decisively.

I think the game was immoral because the Black king wandered too close to the White queen while the White king was gazing at the Black clerics.

Haha i guess you're right! It's really caught me off , didn't expect a move like that . Compared the other games , this is by far 1 of the entertaining ones , where else the rest are just boring positional games .
