Weird checkmate contest
It’s a matter of odd and even moves.
Right so! However you used the standard setup of the pieces on the white side. In chess960, the two sides are always mirrored. Doesn't change the outcome though. Your answer is still correct.
But note that I could have placed pawn c2 on c3 (which I considered) . Then your diagram messes up the whole analysis.
Obviously inspired by Arisktotle's Chess960 retro...
REWANDEMONTAY, Your binary skills are required! And be careful. Not all things appearing binary, are binary!
Um, what?
Can you solve Rocky64's #190? (binary = just two alternatives; black or white, 1 or 0, right or wrong ...)
Arisktotle: I want to teel you some words. In the positions of comment 186, we must consider two possibilities: Only one white kNight has moved or two white kNights have moved. I know it doesn't change the conclusion, but we must consider it. And we must consider too, the possibility of the black Queen's moves and how much black kNights have moved. The puzzle solution is an important aplication of the question "odd or even?".

True, I have considered these possibilities before posting but they weren´t written down in the comment. But now you have done that! Also look at #190 where things are different!
By the way, I replaced my original diagrams where the rooks were on one side of the king. This is not allowed in Chess960. But the new ones are OK.
The second one is legal, however.
