Look, it’s a story.

ponz111

Of course it is a real story--it was unusual but did happen. And the story does not end there.

Every couple should play game of chess together... it really works to release frustration and anger in postive way...

I disagree. I played chess with my husband once. His ego could not stand losing and he became very ill tempered.

Did you beat him fairly? wink.png

Of course. wink.png

The weirdest thing that has happened to me was in my state championships when a 1500 claimed that he was unrated (I was 700 at the time) probably so I'd be sad when I lost, but then he blundered his queen! I was up a queen for a knight and a pawn which turned into just a queen, and I got myself into this huge mess when I thought I would get back rank mated. I ended up giving a series of checks that led to checkmate. I later found out that not only had he actually been a 1500, but he had been playing chess for 5 years! My rating went up 200 points at that tournament, where it still stands today because of quarantine.

That is what my ex wife thought--I have Alzheimers and would lose custody of the kids, But I visited another doctor and proved I did not have that dread disease.

And no my neurologist was not having an affair with my then wife.

That's a really bad experience, Ponz111.  Glad you survived it, and life has gotten better for you since then.

this is only slightly weird. I have lived in Cebu in the Philippines for a year. I am a USA citizen.

Because of my age[79] and COVID I have been confined to my home for 3 months.

But in late May of this year--I became very ill, I was taken to a clinic and they saw I could hardly breathe and I needed to go to the hospital. I did not have COVID. But no hospital had any openings for new non COVID patients.

So I was taken back to my apartment and despite the good care of my girlfriend--I became sicker and sicker to the point I thought I was going to die, But the sister of my girlfriend ordered an ambulance for me. And I was taken to a good hospital about 55 km away,

They did extensive tests--Xray, EKG, blood etc.  The diagnosis was pneumonia plus some more minor afflictions. The doctor said I needed to be hospitalized.  So I said I will stay in their hospital. But no-they were full and only taking COVID patients.  So I asked what hospital would the doctor suggest. He said "none" as all the hospitals were full and only taking COVID patients!

So then he gave me 2 choices,  I could just stay in the ER for days or he could release me but with several prescriptions.  I chose to be released.

It was the same ambulance and they drove very fast--not missing any Cebu bumps in the road. When they arrived at my apartment I was so sick and exhausted that I could not even sit up.

Four people from the ambulance carried me into my apartment.  They all had full COVID outfits--so it must have been quite a sight!tongue.png  Inside my apartment I still could barely move so they put me in my computer chair I am sitting in now. I still could not move. But in my apartment lives my girlfriend and her two cousins Rotchel and Shiela. In about 15 minutes I could move a little in my chair.

My girl friend got the medicine for me and in  a week I was much better. But I had lost 40 pounds in just a 3 week period!  But this was good as I had been about  45 pounds over weight!tongue.pngwink.pngtongue.png And this more or less cured my diabetes!tongue.pngtongue.png

I got stronger and stronger and could even walk a little on the treadmill.  I also lift dumbells. And now I drink only water and find water [usually with ice] is ok. My girlfriend buys healthy foods--veggies that I like--chicken or good fish with a little brown rice and veggies cooked with.  Am more healthy than I have been for years!tongue.pngtongue.png

Not much weird things have happened to me -- except some randome guy after losing to me threw his backpack (with his computer in it) into the bushes -- right as his dad pulled up

Well, the forum is about weird things that happened to chess players. I don't think that means just over the chess board. I'm guessing that he simply means that he had a celibate relationship with some attractive young women who fully trusted him and helped him.

@ GMproposedsolutions, I propose that you say what you mean.

ponz111

To tell the truth I did not realize that statement of mine was in this forum.

GM this did not happen in the Philippines--it happened in the USA.

So GM your notion of what was going on and you thinking it happened i the Philippines was completely incorrect.

By the way I now live with 3 very beautiful young ladies.  I happen to like beautiful ladies.

This makes me sick, honestly. I have great concern for humanity.

Perhaps you expect too much from humanity or perhaps you saw something that wasn't there. The man was sharing. We can only guess to his intent. If you find it repulsive you should report it. Or perhaps the bunny is desensitized.

Any man with half a brain should know what happened was quite unusual and weird.

Sorry but there was no sex involved at all but it seems the mere mention of sleeping with a very beautiful and almost naked lady for a 3 month period of time and Not having sex upsets some.
