what a joke

I believe the title says it all.
None the less thanks for sharing, the forums are really in dire need of more useless information.
yes, sorry for the rant, but I don't understand how that happened. I was one my phone and left the app for a couple minutes and when i can back the game was over, but I still had over 20 min on the clock. My opponent was clearly beat, they offered a draw and I refused, made my move, then they just sat there, so am I supposed to sit and wait 20 min? They never even moved. My move was the last one and somehow I lost.

A baby tiger died today in the dark and inhospitable jungles of some foreign country with tigers and dark, inhospitable jungles.
How do you feel about that?
How does you losing a single chess game compare?
Where do you think your loss fits in on a global events scale?
Will life as we know it continue?
Will your life continue?
Go home, hug your mother, write a real letter to your grandfather, do some weights, help a stranger, donate some money to a good cause and adopt a homeless dog- it will make you feel better.
lol Duck off - I was just wondering why or how it happened. I really don't give a s*** . But I am sorry about the tiger

the game you are talking about is here:

chess.com says you resigned. (?)
if you are playing on a phone and waiting for the opponent to capitulate... put the phone down Carefully, next time. do something else.

Yes! keep the useless information, rage filled rants, and generally repetitive posts coming!
We havent had a "I know the <insert opening here> 20 moves deep, but im still dropping pieces. Do i need learn more openings?" in quite awhile...we are due!

ha!... well. I know whats coming next. I'll read it if its posted- but its Deep hash man. been beaten past the point of meat.

Does closing the app auto resign?
Not on a desktop. occasionally I've lost the browser; had to go back into chess.com and find Live-- and still, I am In the game.
now, if that happens for too long- I think its called "abandoning" the game. you didn't do that. chess.com would mark it as an abandoned game. so I think ; you pushed the button accidentally.

I know the lesser used 'King's Other Indian Attack (KoIA) 20 moves deep but I'm still dropping pieces. ,usually a knight and a queen, by move 11. Do I need to learn another opening?
@IMBacon, I never claimed to a chess guru, was killing my opponent. Just try to ask a question, thanks for being so cool and making me feel welcome.

I've had 'connection lost' drops, if you're in a spotty cell service area or the wi-fi is dodgy.
There's usually a one minute count-down that shows up in the text box.
You wouldn't see the countdown if you're in Focus mode.
I've also had the opponent not move for the last seven minutes (out of a ten minute game) and I won on time. Which would seem to be a 'good connection, guy wandered off' situation.

Does closing the app auto resign?
I'm not 100% it does but I've seen enough posts on the forums with people doing something similar and the game getting counted as a resignation that I think it may actually do that. I will have to try it at some point (in an unrated game).

the right answer is NO
but go out and go a couple engine lines in an opening your barely know and don't play, start a thread in the forum and argue with Pfren over it. cuz obviously with Stockfish as your wingman; you are stronger than him.... right?
