Ive been playing and analyzing a lot of games recently and I’m getting between 70% to 85% accuracy pretty consistently, is that good for a 1300?

Accuracy doesn’t matter that much. If my opponent plays at 10% and I play at 90%, that’s not really saying anything because my opponent played so badly. All that matters is getting a higher accuracy than your opponent.

If you play more accurately you will when more games, i want to know if I’m getting average accuracy for my level.

Accuracy is not complete indicator of your performance.

However….Your average accuracy in Rapid games is 70,9%. So….If you scored more in the game - you played better than your average personal level (improved!)

Where can I see my average accuracy

So to improve i need to get above 70.9% consistently?

Koala: open your profile and select “Rapid games”. You will see your statistics.

Macaroni: if you got more than 70% - you played better than yourself “average”. That’s it. I propose that you establish 75% for you as your good level.

My average Rapid accuracy is 81%. If I get 85%+ - “ok, well played!”. If I got 70% and less - usually I lost and I am more upset about my loss (not by Accuracy).

And if you want to track your improvement - it’s more important to see your rating growth.

But first and most important. Enjoy chess! Do not be this person who cares about rating more than pure enjoyment from chess!

Accuracy is often nonsense.

If your opponent blunders massively early on, your accuracy for the rest of the game (if you don't also blunder) is going to be sky high because the eval shows little +/- movement.

If you get into a long obviously drawn endgame, your accuracy is going to be high again because according to the engine eval there is no +/- movement.

Play a crazy gambit? Launch a sharp but risky attack? Drag your opponent into the deep dark woods? Nope.....Lower accuracy because the engines don't understand the concept of risk, they just see that after 15 moves of perfect responses it would have been a mistake.

100%. Why try for anything less than perfection?
