La Grange was the site of a famous "house of ill repute" in Texas. ZZ Top are from Texas, and their friend, Richard "Kinky" Friedman, a singer, lives there also.

In the late '40s, Friedman was chosen at age seven as one of 50 local players to challenge U.S. grandmaster Samuel Reshevsky  to simultaneous games in Houston, Texas.

That's the best I could come up with.
