What are all yall's chess headcannons?

This is my first topic but like, basically tell me what you think the lore (or part of the lore) in chess is. Not talking about history. But like, what you believe is true. Like maybe, all the higher pieces were pawns before. Just for example. My chess headcannon is that when you promote a pawn, they are given a horse if there promoted into a knight, christian beliefs if bishop, a fortress to hide/live in if rook, and a crown if queen. Also, all the pawns are female (so they can be queens but not kings) aswell as the queen. But the bishops, knights, rooks, and King at the start of the game are male. So yeah feel free to give me your chess headcannons below.

It's not a canon thing in chess it's just something i believe.
