What are mechanics in chess?

It is a sweaty game. Nothing in it is broken, the most fair measure of mental gymnastics (arguments for “Go” insert here) you might like it. Chess is best when picked up and put back down again. No need to commit yourself to gGrandmaster out the gate.

Does grandmaster mean the same thing it does in games like LoL, starcraft and overwatch?
Grandmaster is a title awarded by the main body in chess, FIDE, to players who achieve 3 tournament norms above 2500. They're the best of the best, in essence, and it takes years or even decades to get that good at the game.

It's broken down into moves and visualization and calculation and patience, unlike many esportsy games.
