I think it boils down to keeping a drawn position until the other person makes a mistake. From there you keep the advantage and make it grow.
What Carlsen does that others can`t

I somewhat agree with tiger.
That is exactly what I don't like about Carlsen. Too mechanical, too cold.
He just plays to maintain the drawish positions until his opponent blunders.
Kid Carlsen was cool, though, he played some really nice sacrifices.

Yeah but Gnrf, chess is a sport, and in sport to win, exchaustion of opponent is often how it`s done.

Carlsen drinks loads of orange juice. Most of us can't.
That Vitamin C. I knew it!

I get it, I just don't like his style at all.

Lol, everyone is so stupid among top GMS, trying to play as good as he is, try to increase their skill, while the answer how he does it was in front of their eyes all the time, it`s the orange juice - vitamin C! Hahah.

I think his juice has got Vitamin See.

He has a photographic memory and unbelievable technique. As the greatest player of all time so far every move of his will be dissected until at least the 22nd century.
Does someone knows if it is true that Carlsen chooses White openings with minimum advantage and manage to pull out wins because he plays one perfect move after another - something other elite GMs are unable to so in their hands Carlsen`s choice of a White opening would give more draws and loses?
