Then, how is it a part of China?

It overlaps with China 100% - because it is China.

Please show a map of this alleged "overlapping".

He is taking back Ukraine, but China shouldn't "take back" Taiwan?

How can China take back China? Unless what you mean with 'China' is the PRC, which is of course not China, but a illegitimate state imposed over the Chinese people and Chinese (or, you would say Taiwanese) land.

Does Germany overlap with Germany? Yes, 100%.

Does China have relations with California or New York separate from the United States?

Because the United States has relations (although perhaps unofficially) with Taiwan separately from China - although the US won't argue with China about Taiwan being part of China

Taiwan is represented in 122 countries unofficially. Taiwan maintains contact with the United States through two through an unofficial instrumentalities - American Institute in Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office.

In addition, Taiwain issues globally recognized passports that allow its citizens to travel internationally. Taiwan also is a member of the International Olympic Committee and this sends its own team to the Olympic Games.

So it is different from other Chinese provinces in many respects

Yea, these things get complicated fast.

Btw, the Germans tried to prevent this regarding their own split country initially, look up their Hallstein Doctrine, pretty interesting stuff.

Then apparently you don't understand China.  China is controlled by rich elites in Beijing. The actual governing body is not the problem, it's the rich in which feel superior to other Han and ethnic Chinese people.  This is no different than slavery in the US.  You just don't see black and white people.

I thought you had a cultural revolution to get rid of elites? What happened?

Mistake? Nakamura is from Japan.

I thought at first she was some Eastern European.

Pulpofeira

Ok, another mistake then, I thought he is from the US, something like Michio Kaiku. IM Sachdev is Indian.

ssakash

yeah, Nailed it ! , his name sounds like japanese that's why, I came to the conclusion.

No, he is not Native American. I don't think he looks like that.

I hate Michio Kaku.

I know she is Indian now. But at first I thought she wasn't (until I saw her).

Pulpofeira

ssakash: Yep, but take account there are people with all sort of origins in the US, and most of them are as Americans as anybody else.

Pulpofeira

Well, Kaku looks Japanese too and he's definitely American.
