I am wondering what the negative rating range would mean?
And if it means matching me up with people who have a negative rating (i never knew there was such a thing), why cant i choose to play with people with a minimum positive rating?
The ranges are the amount below and above your current rating.
matching doesnt seem like its effected at all - Would be nice to pick a range above my rating only.

That is not possible.
However, you can go and pick games from the open challenges instead of just clicking play.
That way you can see the opponent rating before you accept the challenge.
I trust you can find it in the menus by yourself.
