What do you do if you are accused of game cheating.

In a game, where my rating was about 1380, i was accused of game cheating. He spent around 3 min for all the moves vs me 2 min. He is up queen and knight vs mine rook and knight. But I checkmated him. That's when he called me a cheater.

I made very fast and accurate moves that I didn't believe I did them. I don't know how to upload the game, don't want to reveal his name, don't have a game editor, and don't want to waste time to find that specific game.

Pls, some body tell me, Should I be proud of it?

I would either stop cheating or improve my cheating technique.

If you are not cheating, you know that, so why would it matter?  Your opponent would just be playing upon irrational guilt.  . . . . . By the way, anyone who cheats online would not survive a controlled setting where cheating is not possible.  Thus, the self-deception of the online cheater requires a basically superficial involvement in chess.  These kinds of players are temporary practitioners, probably suffering from an inferiority complex, and so, being quite worried about status, social perception, and loneliness, probably need the recognition they cannot achieve otherwise. . . . .  Anyway, as Zen master says, "The stream flows on."

Have a nice weekend on the chessboard.

Really? My impression is quite the opposite, but I've been wrong before - like in my game vs you sometime ago (sigh)

PS: If anyone accused me of cheating I'd tell them to report me to the staff ASAP

Thanks for everybody help. I know I didn't cheat and it's impossible to cheat in 2 min for some 30 moves. I think he also knew it, but wouldn't admit it.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are some players here (and at any chess site) whose egos do not allow them to admit that they were beated fair and square. I would just feel abit sorry for them. Also there are players who don't really think they have been cheated but make the accusation just to piss off their opponent. Again just don't give it another thought. It takes all kinds to make a world.Cool

calling someone a cheater is just sour grapes, bad manners and very poor sportsmanship...simply add them to your list of banned players !
