If you can give perpetual check, you're not losing. If you give up a perpetual check, you're not winning.
What do you feel about players that do perpetual checks when they are losing?

When you post, please be aware that the only reason this goes on is because the OP occasionnally necroes the thread with a restatement of his original position and calling others morons.
Be aware that you are feeding a troll, even if you like hearing it roar.

the only way he was able to get away with this is because both my rooks where in the back rank and I had nothing to get behind. I could have ran to the pawns but that would be playing into his hand. I was just kind of pissed cause I had been schooling him the entire game and for him to get by like that was cheap in my opinion. That was his strategy, when you look at it. He just started advancing his pawn in order to force me to take it so his queen could come down and check away and save his sorry a66
It does not matter how much material you had or how well or bad you played---you were not winning. Cannot you see this?
If you had been "schooling him the entire game" I think he better get an instructor other than you. He should get an instructor who understands the game.

My understanding of the game has increased since I made the initial post. I kind of agree with the posters that say that you're not really beating someone if they are able to perpetual you but on the other hand you can argue that you were beating the person if their only tactic to avoid defeat is to create a series of perpetual checks. That person has little to no chance of winning.

Who have I called a moron? I've been called a moron on this thread and other insults. I don't think I've insulted a single person on this thread. Please provide quotes.

OP conveniently forgets that he lost the game he created the thread about. He got perpetual checked right into checkmate.
See post #35, OP says "This is the game."
The point of the thread isn't about the game specifically but someone resorting to a tactic that can only lead to a perpetual check. In that game, I was frustrasted with the bullshit and let him have it.

You WERE winning until you made a mistake and allowed your opponent to opportunity for a perpetual check. Why is it somehow less legitimate for your opponent to take advantage of your mistake than it is for you to take advantage of theirs?

Btw, the result wasn't just "weird because of how the board was situated", you simply allowed your opponent to tear through your kingside defense with heavy hitters like his rook and queen still on the board. How did you think that was going to end up for you?

Say you're beating someone and aren't that far away from a mate. Say he somehow breaks through your defense with a queen and begins checking you all over the board. What do you feel about this? I was winning a game pretty handidly and my opponent sacrificed a pawn in order to give his queen open space to check me. It was in a position in the board where I didn't have a shield for my king and so he could have checked me as many times as he wanted. I think it's pretty cheap.
I believe that's someone with resources trying to survive :)

dissapointed in you guys. Lets get this thread to a 1000 posts lol
When two weeks went by without any response, the OP posted this, post #307. Then 6 weeks went by and he posted #314. Why are you all letting him troll you so well?
Lol, it's a pain in the leg but it's in no way cheating or against the rules lol.
