What do you think about BoltChess, a platform where you can Play Against Titled Players anytime?

We are developing BoltChess (https://boltchess.com), a platform where players can challenge titled players for training games!

The website is currently integrated with Lichess and will soon be integrated with Chess.com (we have requested API access and are awaiting approval). Once a challenge is sent, the game will be created and played directly on Chess.com or Lichess.

We would love to hear your feedback! Do you think there’s anything we could add or improve?

We are also planning to introduce features like:

  • Playing specific openings,
  • Playing from custom positions,
  • Endgame training.

Additionally, four more titled players, including GMs and WIMs, are joining the project soon!

Any feedback is greatly appreciated as we are just getting started. Thank you for your time!

you could have an option where you can video call with the master and you both can analyze the game afterwards

Thank you! Great idea!
Currently, titled players are online, and users can send challenges for games, which are integrated with chess platforms where the games are played.

We are adding the option to schedule training games, where users can select a date and time from their calendar (via Calendly). In this case, it would also be beneficial to include your idea of scheduling game reviews with video!.
At the moment, titled players provide short feedback as a message after the game, but I like your idea of offering feedback through a video call!
Thank you!

Looks like a well-put together site, with some fair fees for players looking to challenge titled players that would otherwise be unable to 👍

Thank you for your feedback!

We are doing our best! happy.png

Interesting, but at my current skill level, I think it'll just be a waste of time.

I love the idea but unless free no way many ppl below 1000 will want to waste their money( it would be a waste for them cos they would never get a good game

No way I am unless free and well integrated into chess.com

It’s perfect for players at your level, as it allows you to identify your weaknesses and work on them.

Currently, you’re playing against opponents rated under 2000 online. Even if you make a positional mistake, they often won’t exploit it, leading you to repeat the same mistake over and over!
Thank you for feedback!

The concept of paying per minute is insane. Sometimes moves can be made in 3 seconds, other times you need minutes to think when it is a crucial position. I'd pay a coach for their wisdom, not their time. How much do those crucial positions cost? That's where and how they should be charging.

The price is paid per game. For example, if a titled player sets the rate at $1 per minute, a 10-minute game would cost $10. Similarly, if you choose a 1-minute game, it would cost $1, and so on.

The price is fixed based on the time control of the game. I agree that this approach allows you to pay for the titled player's expertise, and with longer time controls, the titled player has more time to think and make better decisions.
Thank you for feedback!
