Do all of this mentally in 10 minutes and see how you'd do on it. It must be so trivial for you.

This is literally a test for teenagers... and the ability to do it super fast isn't even math, it's trivial tricks...

If this is what interests you as a 15 year old, I think that's a fine hobby. If you're much over the age of 20 though...

As if chess is any better. It's a board game.

If it's trivial tricks, surely you can learn them quickly and ace this test?

You yourself spent 45+ minutes on that IQ test, so I highly doubt you can.

Uh, yeah, I could learn them and then use them. Why would that be hard at all?

When I'm bored walking my dog, I do powers of numbers in my head... no tricks, I just visualize the numbers and do basic multiplication... looking at the test the only thing I hadn't heard of is harmonic mean, everything else are basics that (at least some) people learn in high school.

I think math is fun... if this is what interests you I think that's great. Maybe you'll go on to do some interesting stuff in some STEM field... I'm not trying to make fun of you... but I don't think you're an adult.

Yeah, chess is a hobby for me, I think it's fun.

I'm taking that as an insult. I am an adult. 78.

Mentally calculating powers isn't that difficult at all especially when you've already seen the powers before.

Yeah, that's why I had to keep using different numbers... and I stopped after a while because it was either too hard or I'd "seen" the numbers before... but it was fun for a little bit. I'd try to go until the answers were at least 7 digits long.

Ok, well, I guess we both know where we stand on the issue.

I'm not trying to make fun of you... math tricks are impressive the same way anything is impressive... people play the guitar well because they practiced. Same for chess, or tennis, or speaking a different language, etc.

So you have a hobby of practicing for and doing tests like this. Ok.

Hikaru would outscore you on the IQ test I gave you.

Some hobbies have more value than others.

Nah, I watched him do an IQ test live. He got confused on easy ones.

Yeah, there are various pros and cons.

Art of any kind produces things that others can enjoy.
Chess is a social activity. People go to clubs and tournaments and meet old friends.
Taking high school math tests is... uh... well... I'm sure you can think of something.

Nah, looking at some of your topics, you gotta be around teen age.

Which ones? I'm 78 years old.

Really? What’s your degree in, and what jobs did you do during your work life?

The white king can be on c2, c5, or g6.
The black king can be on any empty square.

I'm guessing you didn't even know this is the answer heh.

c2 and g6 are protected by pawns

but yes, the black king is completely safe
