Intelligence quality of 150
What do you think GM Hikaru IQ is?

Apparently the idea that correlations can have varying degrees of strength is very difficult for people to grasp.
But even harder to grasp is the understanding that you need an actual IQ test result to know whether someone has a 1-in-a-billion IQ. The only actual IQ test result presented thus far in this conversation is for Kasparov's IQ, and the result was something like 135. Not a single one of these super-high-IQ 180+ claims have yet been substantiated, every one of them is pure speculation by dunces.
There is a correlation between chess skill and IQ. It is nothing close to a perfect correlation.

MVL got a 175 IQ on the SLSE online IQ test, and Hikaru is ranked much higher so Hikaru has to have at least 180 IQ.
Well this would make him 1 in 3.5 million. What do you know, yet another 3000 carat diamond.
Those tests are normed with samples of like 20 people's self reports, and based on that presume to measure IQs in the 1 in 100 million range. They are not serious IQ tests. There's really no comparison between the amount of rigor that goes into norming the Stanford Binet and something like that online test.
When every other person is 1 in 10 million your BS detectors are supposed to start ringing, but yours seems to be broken.
all im talking about are the top chess players. extraordinary minds. i didnt say everyone has a 180 IQ
When your list includes ~20 players and every single one is in the 10 million + range you've created an extreme statistical anomaly, the fact they're at the top of their field is irrelevant. You seem to have no concept of statistical likelihood or correlation strength.
There is not a shred of evidence justifying the list you've created. You literally pulled the data out of a hat and presented it as fact.
Please stop embarrassing yourself.

It's like your feeble mind is incapable of recognizing nuance. Where have I ever suggested that not a single one of the world champs can possibly be 1 in 10 million IQ? Yes, it's possible - we have no evidence of it, but I haven't suggested this is impossible. But what you've done is, based on no evidence, stated as fact that ALL of them are AT LEAST 1-in-10 million.

You should be ousted from mensa immediately, you are a dunce.
There is no reason to believe your claim when the only evidence presented thus far, for Kasparov's IQ, directly undermines it. But in the mean time the least you can do is stop passing off your duncey assumptions as fact taken from a "very credible source", i.e. fabricated out of thin air.
There's multiple studies out there, just copy n paste the above into Google to view three examples. Processing speed and memory are standout abilities that can help you with chess IMO brain is like a muscle and so there's scope to improve and grow
