if there wasn't the ads then chess.com wouldn't make much money and then couldn't make the site beter

members dont see adds, but believe me, there are plenty for the non members.
there isnt that many adds. and seeing how the silver membership is about 16 cents a day i dont see why if it bothers people so much they just dont sign up.
I use firefox and don't get pop-up ads. Even if I did though - this site is pretty great.
Oh lets not start with the whole ads \ paying members dilema
I like the game play and the slip protection.

The best thing about chess.com is that unlike yahoo chess.... your opponent can't walk away from the game to simply leave you in limbo. I also love the fact that you can create a real game with friends/acquaintances that you're not trying to rush through because your wife is bugging you to take out the trash when your done. Thanks for making a great site.
The Best is all the links and helpfull people the worst is all those ads that pop up lol.
