Posted in 2018, think he has it figured out by now . . .

Yeah, but what about those other people?

m_connors

Guess we'll need to give them 2 years, too?

52yrral

Most likely, if they're not still trying to figure out en passant.

m_connors

LOL. Good one.

Can't wait till somebody castles on them!

The guy asked a genuine question and you losers are being a**holes to him. Are your lives so pathetic that you’ve to make yourself feel good by mocking a beginner like this? Geez.

Auto-Queen should always be on especially in speed chess. In some circumstances it is best to take the auto-queen off if you need to underpromote.

On chess.com, if you need to under-promote, you can hold <ALT> while you move the pawn to promote, but on lichess it's <CTRL> key.

So, if I ever will reach such a unique position where I need to under-promote, I'm pretty sure I will never be able to remember the correct way.

I wish some FIDE or somebody else would set a single standard for everybody, so I tried to find this on FIDE chessarena, but it looks like they have not implemented this at all (only auto-queen on/off, but no option to use both).
