what does MF title stand for?

I saw someone with a 1700 rating with this title. I am curious on what MF means and how to get it.

i believe titles on here are titles which are earned by playing OTB games in fide rated tournaments(based on rating and norms they get a title).

i never seen a MF title though.if you mean FM,then see yourself for more information - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIDE_titles?

Yes, if you choose Spanish as the language of the site, FM (Fide Master) appears as MF (Maestro Fide).

or if you choose french, in which case it stands for Maître Féminin.
