I've seen some master chess players have those two letters before their names. (As in GM Robert Hungaski) What do those letters mean?
Grandmaster
International Master
FIDE Master
National Master
Candidate Master
Grandmaster - players who play chess so well in real life that they meet the standards of the national/international chess organizations and are recognized for thei consistently outstanding performance with a title.
GM- Grandmaster
Sometimes it may mean General Manager. Occasionally it stands for General Mistake.
GM- Grease Mokey
GIANT MOOSE.
