There is only one reason I play no more than 1 or 3 minutes on chess.com. The simple reason that if my opponent is trying to use engine assistance, I have a chance to win on time. I've played 5 minute chess before, and I have I had suspicions where my opponent is using assistance from an external engine. Here's why, he perfectly takes 6-7 seconds to make every move, and no matter what the position is, even if it's a simple capture or a simple moving-out-of-check type of position, he will take 6-7 seconds exactly. Not to mention, he's playing flawlessly and in the same style of a strong computer program. Obviously I know not everyone is a cheater, but I've faced this problem atleast 3/10 times when playing 5 minute chess or more.
My question is, what exactly is chess.com doing to monitor this type of behavior in live chess? Without members having to report the suspicion, is the staff really doing anything on their own?
