What happened to Alexander Morozevich?

I used to love watching his unique attacking style, and it kind of reminded me of a new age David Bronstein. I know he hit a bit of a losing streak, but I feel the chess community needs him. Having Nakamura be the only classic dynamic player isn't good enough.

I had a horrible candidates tournament and seems to have taken a break from chess to be with his family.

Morozevich, along with mathematician Alexander Grothendieck and iron tycoon Francisco D'Anconio disappeared years ago, days apart. There was a newspaper op-ed sent shortly, ranting about leeches in the study halls and vampires running banks, that was putatively signed by all three. They haven't been heard from since.

Morozevich is still active...

He just doesn't get invited to top tournaments anymore. His ELO is only 2722 now.

This guy is awesome. Unorthodox style of play and uniqueness. He is my favorite GM. Fight, fight, fight. If you asked him this he would probably argue with my assessment. The ultimate contrarian and great chess player.
