I was playing a game with my friend when we came to this position:
(I hope that inserted correctly)
I played as white, and moved my rook to c6 before realizing how strange this position is. White's bishop is defending the rook, but it can't move to capture the king (in a theoretical situation of playing the capture in a check/checkmate) because the rook is pinning it. My opponent played Kb7, implying that he did not have the option to take the rook. I haven't heard from him on whether the game would have considered it a legal move, so I'm curious: would Kxc6 have been a legal move?
