Before every move, I think to myself "what would Nepo do?" and then look for a different move.

Mr. 1300 Blitz after 13 years on this website and dozens of thousands of games sure has a negative opinion of one of the greatest players of this generation... lol.

i ddon't think that was meant to be offensive

Still, it's a poor attempt at a joke and doesn't contribute to her discussion at all.

For me:

#5: Playing slow chess OTB

Chess for me is like an abusive husband. He loves me, takes care of me but if I put extra chilly in food, he hits me very hard.

Truth hurts.

My chess coach really helps me! But I just wanna say, the homework helped a lot too tongue.png (I was given about 4 pages of 6 tough puzzles a week. Not much for an advanced player but for a beginner like me super helpful!)

From your list, #3... but if I can add an option:

4) Playing over annotated GM games, from books.

Yes, 4 helped me the most

I've studied all his games, so that guy on your page - Nepo - helped me the most. happy.png

In contrast, playing blitz chess helped me a lot - in conjunction with, of course, puzzles training. I quickly picked up on tactical ideas because of this. And I used a lot of these to review the gameplay of certain traits of players - what causes them to win against me or lose against me.

At least that's my personal experience.
