What helps you the most

I have started playing chess not long time ago and I wish to learn and improve. I only play at chess.com and according to the Study plans on this website I use: Chess mentor, Tactics trainer, Game Explorer while playing Online games, read articles a little bit, sometimes watch videos a little bit too, use the computer analyze of finished games and play live and online games.

As for me, I think reading articles and watching videos does not help me much. They usually are too hard, boring and not do much. Chess mentor and Tactics trainer are better, they make me recognise different patterns and tactics easier. And playing more games helps the most, I think.

But I was wondering - what helps you the most in learning to play chess and improving? Playing more games? Using computer workout (which I never used) or chess mentor? Watching videos on youtube and other websites? Articles, books? Your team? Or what else helps you to improve in chess more? Do you have any advices for a beginner?
