I don't think it was right for them to ban the Russian flag either but that is the reason that it shows international on Russian profiles, chess.com made a blog post about it a while back

There are a lot of different reasons to use the International flag. Some might do it as an an additional anonymization method, for example

As to the other question:

Focus Chess please ... as you are far from one to speak on ones behalf ... this is not a political forums but a forum for experts in a sport ... to which by you profile you seem to lack the skills of such and therein need to study vs speak on others behalf ... please study chess before you except us to acept your comments of sillyness.

It generally means you are not proud of your country or you simply just want to hide your nationality. But the main purpose was to provide people with multiple citizenships an option to represent I believe (I am not sure about it)

USA-Elephant doesn't sound like a native English speaker at all. Sounds like someone who uses google translate, and the result is: words in a bizarre sequence.

" a flag per user by name" or "where country a user is from".

Avatar of USA-Elephant

Dear Slick, otherwise known as @magipi ... trust me ... your knowledge and or expertise I fear is far beyond what you think mine is ... do not judge by fast writing .. do not judge at all happy.png ... and more so by your manner only do you write it out of jealousy ... so in short ... be grateful of all you have and allow others to do the same ... as again I am not AI ... I am not what you so claim ... I am the USA Elephant! Respect the Elephant of the USA!

Avatar of USA-Elephant

P.S Dear Slick again otherwise know as @magip (whatever in the world that is? ) ... one more attribute my dear friend ... not only do i respect Chinese but speak four other languages ... Plus, by your profile in same I can crush you in chess ... so perhaps you should go speak in some other forum that you have expertise in, as this forum and especially me is out of your league.!
