Pawn = 1 point
Knight = 3 points
Bishop = 3.25 points(according to Bobby Fischer)
Rook = 5 points
Queen = 9 points
King = The Game.

I think queen and rook are about equal. Knight can jump over pieces but can only move in an L shape. Queen can move anywhere but cannot jump over pieces.
The queen has the ability of the rook and bishop combined
