Now my blitz rating which most everybody plays I am in the top 16% in the world which I think is pretty good considering I'm only 15 years old and since it only includes active players in the last 90 days. I just want some other people to tell me that that is real good and I'm not just the only one that thinks that. I want to say that's real good but if I'm the only one that thinks that then obviously I'm not that good. XD

Just pls tell me if that's good or not and what rating would be real good for a 15 year old and don't give me a terrible answer like if you don't have a rating of 2000 by 12 years old then you prob won't reach grandmaster cause that's just plain crazy. Also tell me if grandmaster rating by 30 is a realistic goal for me or if it's doubtful.

Its great.....even I am 14 and i have 1700+ rating blitz nd rapid and i started playing chess just 6 or 8 months ago

Yes, 1500 is good for your age if your goal is to beat your friends.

If you want to be a Grandmaster, it is not good. There are thousands of kids your age and younger with ratings 500 to 1000 points above yours.

It seems safe to predict you will never be a Grandmaster. However, there is no reason you couldn't improve a lot in the next ten years if you study hard every day for years.

How many hours a day do you spend on chess?

I study like 2 hours per day and i am 10 with the fide rating of 1235. Is that good?

Not super good, no. Not too bad though.

15x50=750 + 1500= 2250- 300=1950 so as per the formula for commoner chess players who will never become a master the rating should be 1950

So I’m 72 and started at 70 at 634 and have reached 957. About 300 improvement in two years. Will I be 3200 when I’m 79? (Assuming death or dementia doesn’t intervene). Somehow I think not. Hoping for 1200 before I shuffle off this mortal coil, though. As for a 15 year old, accept no limits. Play and learn as much as you want to in every way you can. Nobody’s opinion about how far you can go is qualified. Do accept that at 15 you can’t be sure that another interest or two might divert you in the future. I spent 55 years before age 70 spending time on other stuff that didn’t improve my chess.
