IQ is junk and all these debates are based on fantasies about the human brain and mind. The worse part of the widespread obsession about IQ is that it deters people to learn anything or to do anything that would improve their brain function, since your alleged brain power is an eternally fixed constant that set your rightful place in a hierarchy of people and that other activities are only meant to maybe reveal this constant. At core the idea of IQ is deeply anti-intellectual.
We are in the same situation as if there were a "sports quotient" which would be fixed at birth and was intended to determine the real athletic potential of an individual for life, and that any sport training, cardio, workout would be thought as people engaging in a sort of fraud because the result would mask their actual sports quotient. Although no one in his right mind believe that top athletic ability (EDIT: i mean does NOT depends: you don't decide you will be a top heavyweight powerlifter or 2m05++ NBA player; although the role of genetics or potential only really matters at an already high skill level. What separates a total beginner in tennis and a high ranked amateur or high school champion has nothing to do with genetics of course ) depends a lot on genetic factors, the goal of sports is to improve oneself and by training and learning your ability actually change.

I have realized one thing in common with the people that comment in this forum (including me). You all say something that is partly true and a part that is complete and utter rubbish just to have a voice with superior intelligence, only to be ruined by another person's truth (some of you may argue that this is the rubbish that I'm spewing, and I don't quite disagree). In the end, all of your posts are pretty similar when it comes to the truth.
I still believe the IQ is not easily determined, and this forum has gone way off the tracks into a competition to who gets the title of "best mental physicist award" or "most intelligent person in this forum". Either way, we find ourselves being no benefit to the original owner/

IQ is by definition the result of a standardized test; knowing what your IQ is just a matter of taking it. The interpretation of the result is another issue, and this is where the fallacies flood appears.

You'll probably never know since the majority of people never take the standardized test, even among the chess players. Sampling a population without bias would be already very tricky (most people who would participate have an extra need to show off I think).

You seem to imagine that "more intelligent than you" means "the most intelligent person here".
Since you have been generally trolling and making meaningless but malicious attacks for a few months now, which have included all sorts of rubbish and attempted deception by yourself, I assumed that you must feel threatened. Perhaps you yourself assume that YOU'RE the most intelligent person here. That would logically mean that anyone who gets so fed up with you as to tell you what is obviously true must themselves be claiming that they are the most intelligent person here.
Quite seriously, all this is meaningless. All my life, I've welcomed people with virtues. Generous, helpful people, friendly people, those with similar tastes, those I can admire in some way and also intelligent people. If you don't fit any of those bills for me, then you're unlikely to fit them for others. Work on it. It may not be too late!

I think it would be easier to use standard tests which have been standardised against people in general and I would think that is what's implicit. Standardising against chess.com members only is certainly not implicit.
Which test would you use? Different tests are used in different countries and have different scoring parameters.

It seems you can't follow any sort of complex discussion. Time and again, you get lost and if I try to explain where the confusion is initiated, I get passive-aggressive abuse. Can you wonder that I get fed up with you and told you some home truths about yourself? Your second paragraph is a perfect example of your ridiculousness.
Also, I did suggest that you had maybe had a stroke, last Autumn. That's because you disappeared from the threads for quite some time. It seemed like two months. When you returned, it seemed that your personality had changed. You then proceeded to get hopelessly lost in some discussions we were having and when I pointed that out, quite politely, you were abusive. Then you started calling me Douane or something and talking about my dementia. I did point out that before he died, my younger brother fell out with nearly everyone. He was getting events and arguments mixed up and back to front. After he died and I found his medical records, I learned that he had had a series of strokes. I raised this earlier and got nothing but abuse from you. I was only trying to help. I'm sure something's wrong and am not guessing or using it as an excuse. I've seen it happen too often, to others.
If you would do me the favour of staying away from me or not commenting to me in any sort of negative way, that would be appreciated.
