I wanted to know what was the best book on the Najdorf Sicilian.

The best book is not a book, but a data base with grandmaster games.
All books are obsolete while being printed, as every day new Najdorf games are played that shed new light.
There is a video on the Najdorf by Kasparov himself.

I've heard the Anish Giri course on the Najdorf on Chessable is pretty good. A bit pricey though wink.png

Good Chess Openings Books For Beginners and Beyond...

search "Sicilian" or "Najdorf".

A database does not explain themes and plans. i.e., the "whys and wherefores".  You would have to figure that out on your own.  Good books and videos are best for that purpose.

Also, if you are an untitled player playing against other untitled players, i.e., you are an improving chess amateur, learning the latest opening theory is not key to your success or lack thereof.  With respect to the opening, much more important is understanding the ideas.
