may be chessbase 12.
What is the best chess software?

scid , scid vs pc, both are good. Both are free.
Scidb if you have linux, along with above two options.
Easy to learn using scid or scidvspc (but i took 1 year to understand, didnt know about the blogs/forum ), Tutorials on youtube
hope you like scid or scidvspc. they have features similar to chessbase or fritz combined, and that to for free.!!

Chessbase, for a beginner? No. That's serious heavy machinery.
I'd say if you're a beginner, just do the tactics puzzles and chess mentor on this site. Until you're rated about 1500-1600, that's pretty much all that matters.
You don't need to learn openings yet. Nuancing move orders and transpositions won't make any difference at your level. Just play on general principles. Control the center, mobilize your pieces, get your king to safety.
It might be useful to get a decent chess engine at some point... Fritz, Rybka, Houdini, Shredder, Fruit... these are all pretty good. The differences are marginal. They're mostly just useful for analyzing your games, to find the tactics that you missed. But mainly, I'd focus on just getting better at tactics if I were you.
I'm beginner at chess I want to know what chess software do I need to learn openings and tactics?

Also softwares for professional players and database
Thx in advance
