What is the Best Defense in Chess?

Great question! Christopher saw you watching my games earlier. As someone who's been up to 2100 on my main account I will say almost all openings are playable but from the black side especially below 1800 I think the most solid option against the king's pawn opening has to be the caro-kann or french defense 
For d4 I will say against Queen's Gambit the slav or decline are incredibly solid options! Hope that covers the basics. But at the end of the day the most important thing is to find positions where you're having fun!
