Engines like openings like the Berlin Defense. Grandmasters tend to try to emulate the top engines, but for amateurs like the more exciting and entertaining openings, even if they are a few centipawns worse off with them.
The Evans Gambit is a not played much at the top level but is a lot of fun because both sides have good attacking chances.
I know there are many openings in chess. I have my favorites but I was curious what you think is the best opening for white and or black using any metric you want to. I love the Dutch defense and the Vienna. I'm sure engines can help us figure it out.
