There was a book released on it last year, called The Exhilarating Elephant Gambit. General consensus seems to be that ultimately the gambit is not fully sound, but can be quite fun and an excellent blitz weapon.

Wrong. There is no fun lines like in the Latvian Gambit, the Elephant straight up gives a pawn

Just bought that Elephant Gambit book recently. Looking forward to going through it. However, I wish there were more modern books on the Latvian Gambit these days, which I feel is superior to the Elephant Gambit but yet still somewhat dubious vs e4.
