They always say “winning a won position” is the hardest thing.

But secretly I suspect that winning a lost position is even harder.

no one said winning yet?

Winning for me. Also Making draws. In my entire life I have made only 1 legal draw.

The longest chess game is 269 moves between Ivan Nikolic vs. Goran Arsovic, Belgrade, 1989. The game ended in a draw. The game lasted over 20 hours. Nikiloik  and Arsovic clearly had no such problem. Even after 269 moves no one really won. It was a draw. It should have been a draw earlier. There was 3-move-repitition but no declared draw.

The hardest thing, when I've lost a won game, is trying to extract my hand from the wall.

The chessboard.

Trying to get the opponent to not abort or abandon the game.

And, Trying to not stalemate with a queen up

The hardest thing in chess is the chess board. Mine is made out of stone.

The hardest thing in chess is to guess chess engine moves every time they play. If you want a thrill because you get bored, you can go to computer championship. Guess the move of the better chess engine from the two playing, and before each of it's turn, try to guess its move.

Uh I think probably mainting time in bullet is the hardest. Because you have to calculate, premove without blundering, have a good position, have higher material, have the upper hand all at once while having 1 minute.
