I have had at most 120 a couple of months ago and here in a couple days I hope to climb back up from my pitiful 29 games.
What is the highest number of Online Chess games a person has had at one point
Okay, I've been wanting to find out from y'all that play 100+ simultaneous games what that's like.
How much time do you put into thinking through moves? What kind of routines enable you to keep up with it all?
When I had that much time I'd fragment up the games a bit at a time usually 45 sec per move unless interesting tactical/posistional ideas pop up.
I've wondered about those people with 200+ games but has anyone broke 300 games? And who holds this ultimate record?

4,936 last I saw.
Oops, that has fallen. He's down to only 417 now. He fell off a cliff. His rating has now dropped to 733 from a high of 1660 in August.
He was chasing another guy Ramon_Palatan, who had set the record of 4,919 games before he crashed and burned two years ago. http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/most-quotonline-chessquot-games-at-same-time
One way to easily break the record(with computer assistance):
1. get a chess program.
2. program it to enter all groups on chess.com
3. tell it to enter all team matches and open challenges.
4. tell it to join all tourneys (once it has premium membership)
5. tell it to challenge every known member on chess.com 4 times.
6. Have it respond to games 24/7 opening multiple browsers and taking a couple seconds to move.
Expected Result: 1,000,000 games after a month or so
when mishrafish had 3000 +- games I calculated that he/she/they would need to make one move every 86 seconds around the clock 24x7x365 to keep up, assuming all of them are 3 day games in progress ;)

What is a chess program here?
I tend to stay 8-10. Right after a tourney starts I sometimes push into the teens.
I've seen people with well into three digits; I might have seen four digits, I don't remember. To keep that going with any kind of quality seems pretty difficult, and it would be even harder to follow the thread of a game than when you only have a small number.
I don't understand having that many games going at once. If you've got that much time, why not just play blitz for an hour?
