WHAT IS WRONG WITH WRONG WITH THE RATING CHANGE IN LIVE CHESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As we begin, if you totally crushed a person 400 rating points above you who is appropriately suited at their rating bow many rating points would you go up?

I mean them using all there might and you beat them wit your skill. i have beaten plenty but i have only gone 20 points up. why don't igo up a hundred????

k-factor, the risk and reward is off

400 points is scoring 90% or something like that, if you lose 1 point per game obviously his loss has to be capped, can't be anywhere near 100

In 'live chess' it's based on a 16 point rating system (unless you're a provisional and then it adjusts much larger until you have an established rating). If there's a 400 point differential, maximum for the lower rated to win is 16, higher can't win any (maybe 1 point max) as they are 'supposed to win' in theory. The online (turn-based) games seem to be on a larger scale...closer to a 32 point system with the same criteria as stated above.
