I don't really know what my play style is yet, but I aim to be more of an attacking, tactical player rather than a solid, positional player, though both are cool.

I’m more of a hang all your pieces and resign type player.

I tend to use a "Matador's Cloak" style, in which I tempt my opponent to attack me, defend accurately while drawing him deeper into my position, then wreck him with a counter-attack which his pieces are now too far out of position to counter.

Play positionally, creating weaknesses and try to make the game too complex for my opponent to follow. I'm more aggressive with black than with white but same style.

I'm in my 60s, and nearly blind.

Playing chess is a bigger strain on me since my eyesight started to fail.

I've tried multiple styles, but the ones most I most frequently switch between are

  • solid positional play
  • crumbling under pressure

usually aggresive

Avatar of PerpetualPatzer123

Blundering! I mean...creative positional sacrifices.

My style is just to try to play the best moves in any position. [works pretty well]

attacking or aggresive

inconsistent but deadly attacker, half the time i can checkmate within thirty moves and others i end up getting all my material taken with no attack.

That's what I think I play like right now: either I annihilate my opponent's army in a brief attack or get my back ranked cleaned

I’ve switched from an attacking player to positional and accurate play.

Either way, I think an attacking style should be foremost learn because check mate is the ultimate goal and just more fun.

My chess coach says that I'm more of a positional chess player

Based on what other people tell me, you shouldn't aim to have a specific play style. You should let it develop naturally.
