What is your favorite move in chess? I like castling. But my favorite move is when somebody either forks or pins the queen and king. I LOVE doing that, but when someone does it to me...... that's a completely different story. Anyways, chat away!!!! wink

I like making moves that look like silly oversights... leaving a Pawn where the opponent can snatch it with check, for example.

I also like playing moves that look like the sort of thing a chimpanzee would play... for instance, heading into my opponents position with a single unsupported piece instead of an army; or sacrificing a piece and then just going back to making normal developing moves, as if I wasn't a piece behind.

Casting is good for a play or a movie, but wth chess, the main players are all there. happy.png

My favorite move is checkmate, because that´s how you win the game.

RagingRook1747

my favorite move is the one that forces a draw when I'm losing.

Puzzler888

A nice sophisticated mating net that comes together that combines both my pieces on good squares and taking advantage of their pieces blocking their escape, finished off with a discovered check to interfere with a piece that could block my checkmate.
Bonus points if it is an even game and I am not up tonnes of material.
