Carlsen will DOMINATE Anand! I predict a massive bloodbath over-the-board where Carlsen will emerge from with both a 2900+ rating and the World Champion title.

I see either 4 or 9. And I wish Carlsen wins because I want a new chapter on chess so that chess will continue. As for Anand, he can close his chapter. But the only obstale for Carlsen is Carlsen himself. So 9 will probably happen.

my prediction is that Anand will fall for scholars mate and then stop playing chess until aliens come in 2015 declaring war against earth, but first giving us a chance for salvation if we beat them in chess game, then Anand will overcome his fear and gather around with all GMs in the world to play this life-or-death match, his main line suggests 1.f3 e5 2.g4 Qh4+, Carlsen looks to him puzzled but he trust Anand and we play that line... Aliens start laughing so hard that they die, then Anand comes with an evil laugh "I knew this was their only weakness, I have planned this from the moment I saw that forum post in chess.com", then we all eat chocolate with catchup

Much as I hate to admit it, not being a fan, Bobby Fischer will probably win it all. You can trust me because I am unbiased.

I don't think that Anand is considered by many (outside of India) to be a dominate force in chess. Although the world champion he is held in the same light as Max Euwe, a fluke.If he manages to beat Carlsen that will change. I don't expect it to change.

The prediction made by AJAX333221 that aliens will attack us in 2015 cannot be a serious remark. Because every one knows that just letting smel the aliens chocolat with ketchup on it will chase them away directley. Therefore I presume that Carlsen and Anand will not play the well known openings in order to evade the incredible vast computeranalyses made by themselves against each other. So the battle between them will be  in the bushes of the unknown and Carlsen will be the better genius of the two combatants, because he always plays his chessfights in the bushes of the unknown and has also the bigger experience with this fight in these bushes. Carlsen at the end will win. And an unforeseen attack by the aliens can easily be prevented by an enormous number of huge tablets of chocolate, each big like a football pitch, with lots of ketchup on it, floating in an orbit around the world.

Therefore Carlsen will end 3 up, and if Anand dares too much, 4 up.

Carlsen is like Fischer, both in chess ability (rated much higher than the World #2 in their respective era) and personality (extreme - Fisher makes alot of demands, while Carlsen withdraws from MANY tournaments because of disagreements).

It will be a pity if they actually host the WCC in India. Even though i am not a fan of Carlsen, I believe and hope that Carlsen will win this.
