my strongest part is setting up the pieces, its all down hill from there
What is your weakest area of chess

for me a weakness i have found is i try to simplify positions (ie by exchanges )when the win may take hard work in messy positions an overfondness for classical lines can leave me open to innovations too ie i will always take the easy way which makes my game easier to read

Free Cat on pawn chains can i recommend Aron Nimzovitch's "My system " as a good study aid (also a very fun but very good chess book) i learned many good chess concepts from it
I don't know if I could say I have a strong point in chess. My openings aren't too bad, just because I have a copule of pet lines I surprise my opponents with, so I usually get into positions that I know better. My middle game planning and tactics are ok. But my endgame is horrible. I draw won positions and lose drawn ones. it's probably the part of the game that I have studied the least. ;/

endgames tend to focus on pawns look to kill your opponents candidates (those that stand best to promote)and aim to enhance yours an understanding of when the endphase is imminent can also help you activate your king into a more aggressive role

It is those pieces with a horse head. I think they move like an L. Someone said they can even hop over other pieces? This is too complicated!

My use of knights could use some improvement.
Then again, my tendency to take chances is sometimes painful...
I struggle to think objectively when I'm defending. I don't even like doing tactical puzzles where I'm having to think for the defending side.
This is bonkers really because when I'm attacking (or solving a tactic for the attacking side) I can see the outcome of the various defensive tries. I just struggle to force myself to think in the same way when I'm the one defending.
