No it is not a bug .. White has time but not enough material to mate : Black has material but no time
. Hence it is a draw .If White had just one more pawn at that instant it was a win for White then but
not now ...
White can mate in that position, so white should win on time.. Chess.com should fix this..
Nothing to fix, in this case; the site does not use FIDE's insufficient material rules. It mostly uses USCF's and that doesn't take into account help-mates (mate being possible but not forcible).
Now, you can argue the site should use FIDE rules for insufficient material, but the implementation, again in this case, is correct for the rule set being used.
So many different rules .... also different rules for various time controls , it can get confusing , to say the least ! Usually when the rules differ between FIDE and USCF I prefer the FIDE rules but in this particular case I prefer USCF rules that mate should be forcible ...... none of this help mate nonsense for me !
