What it's really like being a female chess player.

I can't swear to the truth of this, but:

Apparently MaoTseTung liked to walk naked through a room packed  with young virgins.

Also, he never brushed his teeth! (and his dentist never broached the subject...)

   Having just now just read the last couple of pages, I believe that somehow my dig at the great_patzer, got 'double-posted'.  The second time it appeared under your name, power_2_the_people.  Please believe me that I had no agency over that event (I can barely manage to switch on this computer!)

  So, IamNoMaster , I am probably the one who should wear the barrage of outrage for commenting on someone's 'avatar'-image.     -Even though one really has no way of knowing that the picture in question is that of a real person -my critique of it was actually in response to previous remarks by  the great_patzer regarding another player's appearance.  I will say, however, that I was writing in the spirit of satire.

  Forgive me for raking over this (relatively) ancient issue . I would have thought that even a cursory reading might have revealed the truth of the matter. But then I'm just a simple -but gloriously plumed- Crimson Rosella...

  My apologies to you power_2_the_people. I assure you that I was unaware of that post reappearing under your 'name'. If I had such sneaky computer skills, I'd be hacking banks!

 And, IamNoMaster : if you want to continue your outrage and dob me in for my shallow remarks, and my offensive sense of (alleged) humour, well just you hop-up on your high horse and ensure I am well and truly punished!  

  Oh, by the way IamNoMaster, your rainbow 'avatar' is actually, one colour short! I promise that I'll try not to be offended by that insult to (appropriated) rainbows everywhere...

It has always amazed me that women who enter a man dominated field complain abput the manly characteristics of said field.

That's like me becoming a nurse only to complain of the endless gossip and other mundane women activities arising of out said woman-dominated field

Size does matter, but declining marginal returns are to be expected past a certain threshold.
