I got first interested in chess by playing through its tactics. it's like doing magic with my hand. I was always interested in magic.i am not here talking about black magic. because of tactics I entered chess world and I still haven't figured out how to apply strategy. my positional understanding of chess is pathetic by looking at my rating. my tactics rating too seems to come to a halt. It's chess.com forum which is only motivation for showing off my chess skill.

I have fallen in love with chess when I first learnt it, and I mainly self-taught myself through reading books, playing on chess.com and reached my level today. I can never get bored of the mystery of chess. However when I decide to teach my friends in High School chess, they can never focus and improve no matter how I tried to do it
. Do anyone have any suggestions how they are taught when they were first introduced to chess? How they improved above 1000 or 1200 rated? Much help would be greatly appreciated.
