What makes you choose the icon for your chess account?

Aren't children usually assembled by unskilled labor?

It fits my stupid nickname.
I like your username and picture with it
I think a lot of us choose names that relate to the avatar in some way (as I have done too) (The character in my avatar is Seto Kaiba from Yugioh. Apart from his renowned dueling ability, Seto Kaiba also beat the chess world champion in a game of chess when he was just a child [He beat Gozuburo by "studying his strategies" according to the English dub]).

I've loved the Spitfire aeroplane since my father took me to the cinema to see"The Battle of Britain" in 1969. The one in my avatar is a specific 'plane. It was refurbished by apprentices at a nearby aerospace firm and it used to "buzz" the town where I live back in the 80's. The PR Mk XIX carried cameras only and no guns.

Anish Giri is my favorite chess player.
Which shows how up on chess news I am...I assumed that was a picture of you.
lol I am flattered. Why would I be playing in Tata Steel Masters while having a rating of 1700?

Being a father has been my greatest accomplishment 😊

blueemu it took some practice and some luck lol.

The legendary .com grey default pawn icon was on the scene today seeing and being seen nearly everywhere on the site from puzzlerush to the forums to the now practically defunct tactics trainer, to comment sections in blogs, articles, and news, to live blitz arenas and even daily correspondence. Surely you, narcisissitc member pulling out icon after icon in a quest to showcase beauty like a proud peacock, must have seen me on the board opposite you demonstrating my utter seriousness in how I approach the sport I will not step away from even one second to show you who I am or what I like; nope too serious for that. One gray avatar said at presstime that he'll be "in the live room playing real chess." Another said he chose to stay gray because he liked to "really stand out from the crowd." "Yeah," sighed Gray, "blending in's really not my thing.' A different gray admitted that his play was so juvenile and practically embarrassing that he in fact prefers to hide behind anonymity. In fact no gray is the same, as yet another Joe Gray boasted that being gray keeps opponents from "messin with my mind" because nothing personal is being revealed, unlike these other guys just putting dey whole family up there shamelessly.
lol
