Play the Ruy Lopez. Most people our elo play like this:

Which is called the Morphy Exchange variation. You're up material and can full on demolish your opponents flanks.

Learn a system opening - that’s an opening where you can more or less play the same moves whatever your opponent does - like the london, the pirc, or the Accelerated Dragon Sicilian.

There are plenty to choose from so have a look online :)

Theoretical openings I’d save for when you’re a bit higher rated, because you’d put an awful lot of effort into memorising lines that you won’t fully understand, and your opponents won’t play!

As a low Elo (rating) player, it's a good idea to focus on relatively simple and solid openings that don't require an extensive amount of theoretical knowledge.

The Italian Game (1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4): This opening is straightforward and focuses on controlling the center and developing your pieces. It's a good choice for beginners as it leads to open positions with natural moves.
