What opening will you play in a regular game?
I'm starting to like the English, I'm still trying to work on my development at the moment but it's getting there 🙂

London system, it's soo flexible. THough to be fair i'm a low level player :')
London is flexible? Flexible is used to describe an opening with a variety of systems/plans, no? For instance, KID is flexible because White has multiple ways to take central presence and develop the pieces. But the London has very little flexibility because there is a rigid set of moves a player should follow every time, and move order matters?

as a somewhat higher-rated player i also like the italian opening.
Dam I started learning it right now and I can see why it's so good.
The Italian is very good, and my personal favorite!!!

Most chess games today are played with heavy theory at the opening. As a result the chess doesn’t start till many moves into the game.
Thats why the polish opening is interesting against moderate players.
It is somewhat unsound for white but it’s beauty is that the opponent is forced to play chess at MOVE 1 !!
Or go scrambling for main line theory which doesn’t necessarily help if you have not been in the middle game of this interesting opening.
If you want to play chess from move 1. Then this is an interesting option😇😇

caro kann
cool! I did not know you played the caro kann against 1. e4
for me usually i play caro kann but sometimes scholars mate

The little-known Barry Attack...Nf3-d4-Bf4-d3, etc...sometimes mistaken for the fashionable "London system" but it differs in two key respects----the initial Nf3 move, and also I put the Queen's knight on d2 instead of c3 (iso as not to block the C-pawn, in preparation for a possible c4 or b2-b3-c4).
What is your favorite opening?
